Itinerary of Chardham Yatra Package for 12 Days

Day 01: Arrival Delhi - Haridwar

Meet our driver at Delhi station and drive to Haridwar. Check into the hotel Overnight stay at Haridwar Hotel.

Day 02: Haridwar to Barkot (210kms/7 hr) Height: 1352 MTS

Drive to Barkot. Check into the hotel arrival in Barkot. Overnight stay at Barkot. Barkot Weather: Barkot is mostly cool during the summers 25-30 degrees Celsius and in the Winters: The days are cool as well but the nights are freezing, temp ranging from 10 deg to 05 deg.

Day 03: Barkot / Yamunotri / Barkot {36kms drive & 6kms Trek (one side)} Height: 3235 MTS

Early morning after breakfast packed breakfast, proceed to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti&star trek from here to Yamunotri (6kms) (Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost). After taking bath in JamunabaiKund's warm water and having "Darshan" of "Yamunaji" return to Jankichatti by trek. Later drive towards Barkot, Overnight stay at Barkot.

Yamunotri Weather - In summer the maximun temp is 18 degrees and the minimum is 10 degrees celsius. The days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold.

Day 04: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100kms/4hr) Height: 1352 MTS

Morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Uttarkashi. Visit KashiVishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi.Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi has many ashrams, temples. The town name itself suggests its likeness to and position (as north of) the city of Kashi, or Varanasi. Like Varanasi, the town of Uttarkashi is also located on the banks of River Ganga.

Vishwanath temple - Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in North India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is located at the heart of the city.A gigantic iron trident representing divine mother's, stood and worshipped from the ancient times within the temple campus. Ganeshji, SakshiGopal, Markandeya Rishi's small shrines are also included in the temple campus. AkhandJyoti as well as AkhandAbhishek, special aarti at morning and evening are offered. It is 'Saumya Varanasi', said SkundaPuran, the home of Lord Shiva in Kaliyug and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Shakti temple - Right opposite the Vishwanath temple is the Shakti temple. It has a big 'Trishul' of about 6 meters in height and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different views about the making of this, the upper part of it seems to be made up of iron and the lower one is of copper. As per the epics this Shakti was thrown on the devils by the Goddess Durga(Shakti), hence it gets its name. Since then this Shakti is erected over here.

Uttarkashi Weather - Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35 degree Celsius but nights is pleasant, Cold in winters.

Day 05: Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (100kms/3-4 each side) Height: 3048 MTS

After breakfast (packed breakfast) drive to Gangotri, enroute at Gangnani take a holy dip in GaramKund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is known for nature beauty and the views of the Deodar trees and mountains. On reaching Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the river Ganges also known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Do Pooja and Darshan, then relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Temple: The temple was constructed by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.

Gangotri Weather - The maximum temperature in the summer may be even reach to 20° Celsius. Summer nights can get cooler with a minimum temperature of 10° Celsius. While visiting Gangotri during the summer season, one may need light woolen clothes. Winter season is quite chilly in Gangotri. Sheers of snow will fall in Gangotri during winter. Pilgrim centers do not open throughout winter because of heavy falls of snow.

Day 06: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi/ Naryankoti (220kms/8-9hr) Height: 1319 MTS

Morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh&Lambgoan. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakiniriver comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit ArdhNarishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi.

Guptkashi Weather - pleasant in summers, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.

Day 07: Naryankoti / Guptkashi to Kedarnath (30kms by road & 19kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS

Morning after breakfast enjoy Kedanrath& back your hotel. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you your prebook Helipad. After Back our car will drop you at Hotel for rest.

By Trek: Morning your driver drops you at Sonprayag then you have to take a local jeep for Gourikund & then your trek starts for kedarnathji. After darshan you follow the same & back to Sonpraag. There is big parking issue so driver will back other palace if his contact no. in not working then you have to wait for your driver & send the massage to any other driver.

Kedarnath: Shrine of Lord Shiva, one of the 12 jyotirlingas, against the majestic Kedarnath range, Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. It is said that the Pandavas, after having defeated the Kaurava in the war of Kurukshetra, felt guilty of having killed their brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He outwitted them time and again and while running reached Kedarnath in the disguise of a bull. Kedarnath Weather - As it is located at a really high altitude, the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for most part of the year.

Here summer is cool and pleasant, whereas winters are harsh. During the summer season, the temperature moves around 18°Celsius. Light woolen wear is advised. In Kedarnath, the mercury level goes so low that it touches 0°Celsius. During this time, the place also receives snowfall. Due to these extreme climatic conditions, this time is generally avoided by the tourists.

Day 08: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (30kms by road & 19kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS

Morning after breakfast enjoyKedanrath& back your hotel. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

By Helicopter: By Helicopter Morning your driver will transfer you your prebook Helipad. After Back our car will drop you at Hotel for rest.

Day 09: Guptkashi to Piplekoti (160kms/7hr) Height: 3133 MTS

Morning after breakfast drive to Piplekoti Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Piplekoti.

Day 10: Piplekoti - Badrinath to Piplekoti

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath One of the 'Ancient Four Dhams' is one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations of the country and stands at an altitude of 3,133 meters, flanked on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop.

Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple.

Mana Village:

Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Badrinath Weather: The average high temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average low is 8° Celsius. So, warm as well as woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year.Winter in Badrinath comes along with snow falls often. Winter is very chilling with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Day 11: Piplekoti to Rishikesh (230 kms/7 hr)

Morning after breakfast, drive for Haridwar. check in hotel taking Arti and local sightseeing of Haridwar and overnight at Haridwar

Day 12: Rishikesh to Delhi (220Kms / 6-7hr) Height: 310 MTS

Morning after breakfast, drive for Delhi. Dropping at Delhi airport / station / home / hotel.
