Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Mumbai / Pune to Bhimashankar
Early morning pick-up from Mumbai or Pune. Proceed towards Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga (approx. 110 km from Pune / 190 km from Mumbai). En route, enjoy scenic views of the Sahyadri mountain ranges. Arrive at Bhimashankar by late morning, check in to hotel, freshen up, and proceed for darshan. Bhimashankar is a hill-top temple surrounded by the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary — one of the most scenic Jyotirlingas in Maharashtra.
Evening: Attend the Sandhyaarti at the temple. Overnight stay near Bhimashankar or proceed to Pune for night halt.
Day 2 – Bhimashankar to Trimbakeshwar (Nashik)
Early morning Mangal Aarti at Bhimashankar (4:00 AM). After darshan and breakfast, depart for Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nashik (approx. 200 km, 4 hours). Trimbakeshwar is unique — it has a Linga with three faces representing Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The sacred Godavari River originates from the Brahmagiri hills near this temple. Arrive by afternoon, check in, and proceed for evening darshan and Sandhyaarti.
If time permits, visit the Kushavarta Kund (sacred tank) and Nashik city. Overnight stay in Nashik / Trimbak.
Day 3 – Trimbakeshwar Darshan → Shirdi → Grishneshwar (Aurangabad)
Wake up early for Mangal Aarti at Trimbakeshwar. Panditji will assist with Rudrabhishek. After darshan, depart for Shirdi (approx. 130 km) for Sai Baba darshan — a beloved addition for most pilgrims. Continue to Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga (approx. 100 km from Shirdi) near Ellora Caves, Aurangabad — the 12th and last of all Jyotirlingas. Grishneshwar is also the smallest Jyotirlinga temple in India.
If time permits, visit the Ellora Caves UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to hotel in Aurangabad for overnight stay.
Day 4 – Aundha Nagnath → Parli Vaijnath → Return
Early morning checkout and proceed to Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga in Hingoli district (approx. 160 km from Aurangabad). Aundha Nagnath is the 8th Jyotirlinga, built in the Hemadpanthi architectural style and restored by the legendary Ahilyabai Holkar. Complete darshan and proceed to Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga in Beed district (approx. 100 km) — the 9th Jyotirlinga, known for its healing powers.
After completing darshan at Parli Vaijnath — the final Jyotirlinga on this tour — depart for Mumbai (approx. 400 km) or Pune (approx. 330 km). Arrive by late evening. Drop at your designated location.

Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga
Mythology states that Lord Shiva defeated the demon Tripurasura at Bhimashankar, signifying the victory of good over evil. Nestled in the Sahyadri highlands and surrounded by the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, this Jyotirlinga offers a breathtaking blend of spirituality and natural beauty.

The temple is built in the Nagara style of architecture. The river Bhima originates from near this temple. The surrounding wildlife sanctuary is home to the Indian giant squirrel (Shekru) — Maharashtra's state animal.
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
Located at the source of the sacred Godavari River, Trimbakeshwar is one of the most revered Jyotirlingas. Uniquely, the Shiva Linga here has three faces — representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — an extremely rare feature among all Jyotirlinga temples in India.

Built in the Hemadpanthi and Mughal-influenced style with black stone carvings. The Kushavarta Kund (sacred tank, 92 × 98 ft) within the complex is used for ritual bathing. The Brahmagiri hills behind the temple are considered extremely sacred.
Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga
Grishneshwar is the 12th and final of all twelve Jyotirlingas — making it the last stop in any complete Jyotirlinga pilgrimage. It is also the smallest Jyotirlinga temple in India. Located close to the UNESCO World Heritage Ellora Caves, it combines spirituality with cultural heritage magnificently.

Constructed from red volcanic rock and adorned with intricate carvings in the traditional South Indian style, the temple was restored by the great queen Ahilyabai Holkar. The gopuram (entrance tower) is particularly impressive.
Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga
Aundha Nagnath is regarded as the 8th Jyotirlinga, with origins dating to the Treta Yuga. It is also known as the first Jyotirlinga — as some scriptures say Lord Shiva appeared here before all others. The temple was significantly renovated by Ahilyabai Holkar of the Holkar dynasty.

A masterpiece of Hemadpanthi stone architecture, the temple features intricate stone carvings, beautifully decorated walls, and a uniquely tall shikara. The surrounding area is peaceful and relatively less visited — making for an intimate darshan experience.
Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga
